Looking for handyman help at the office?
The rule of thumb: screen centre at eye level
When you sit on the sofa, the middle of the screen should be roughly where your eyes are. For many sofas that's around 100–110 cm from the floor to the centre of the screen.
Go a little too low rather than too high. Looking up through a whole film is hard on your neck. The easiest way is to measure from your own sofa: sit as you usually do, look straight ahead and have someone mark the height on the wall.
What affects the height
How high the sofa is and how you usually sit
A TV bench or other furniture under the TV
If the TV should be visible from the dining table or kitchen, it may need to go higher
In the bedroom, where you watch half-lying, a higher position can feel best
A tilting bracket lets you angle the screen down if it hangs high
Before you drill
Find out what kind of wall it is — concrete and plasterboard need different plugs
Don't drill straight above, below or next to sockets and switches — that's where cables usually run
Check that the bracket fits the TV's VESA pattern and weight
Plan where the cables will go — a cable channel hides them
Mounting a TV on the wall
We mount the bracket in concrete or plasterboard, hang the TV and hide the cables.

💡 Common questions about TV height
How high should a large TV be?
The rule of thumb applies whatever the size: the middle of the screen at eye level when seated. A larger screen therefore ends up with its bottom edge lower than a smaller one.
Can you hide the cables?
Yes. We hide the cables with a cable channel. Let us know in advance if you want us to buy it. For a Samsung Frame we can hide the cable in the wall and fill and paint over it.
Do I need to have the wall bracket at home?
Yes, or we can help you buy one. Materials are added to the price.
What does it cost to mount a TV?
From SEK 998 after the RUT deduction. You see the price right away when you book a handyman, and tools, screws and plugs are included.
