Handyman in Tyresö

Tyresö has no railway — Tyresövägen and the buses connect it to the city. The main centre, Bollmora, was built up in the 1960s, Trollbäcken is mostly detached houses, and the rift-valley landscape around Tyresö Palace and Tyresta National Park takes in everything from Krusboda's 1970s group-built housing to the old summer villas on Brevikshalvön. We cover all of Tyresö.

When HSB secured an agreement in 1957 to build 2,000 apartments in Bollmora, the plan placed tall buildings on the outskirts and low ones in the centre, and the town centre opened in 1965 (Tyresö municipality). Krusboda was built in 1969–1974 as one of Sweden's largest group-built housing estates, with 1,400 homes in the form of terraced houses, atrium houses and detached houses (Tyresö municipality). Trollbäcken's houses went up after Kumla manor was bought in 1910 to be parcelled out into self-build plots.

Parking on Tyresö's public streets and roads costs nothing, and the 24-hour rule applies on weekdays that aren't public holidays unless signs say otherwise. In built-up and central areas the municipality can set aside parking for short errands such as customer visits and pick-ups or drop-offs by commercial vehicles. The car park at the shopping centre in Tyresö centrum isn't run by the municipality (Tyresö municipality).
