Handyman in Saltsjöbaden

Saltsjöbaden was laid out in the 1890s as a villa town and seaside resort, with the Grand Hotel completed in 1893, and is now an area of national interest for cultural heritage (Nacka municipality). It takes in Neglingeön and the villa areas of Neglinge, Igelboda, Tattby and Solsidan, but also the 1970s apartments on Ljuskärrsberget. The Saltsjöbanan railway has a branch between Igelboda and Solsidan. We cover all of Saltsjöbaden.

Saltsjöbaden was laid out as an exclusive villa town and seaside resort, and the plot map from the early 1890s shows that the villas were placed mainly on Neglingeön, the original Saltsjöbaden. Igelboda, Neglinge and Garvkroken are part of the area too, while Tattby and Solsidan are villa areas further out. Ljuskärrsberget is something else entirely: 469 apartments in 52 terraces of two to three storeys, set around courtyards and built in the early 1970s as part of the Million Programme. Nacka municipality issues a trade parking permit for vehicles carrying tools and materials, for example for building and plumbing work. It allows up to two hours of free parking on public land with a parking disc, but doesn't cover customer visits or loading (Nacka municipality). If you live in a villa in Saltsjöbaden, tell us whether the van can park on your plot.
