Carrying help or movers – what do you need?
Just need a new sofa carried up — or moving a whole home? "Like a move, but not a whole move" is how many of our customers describe carrying help. Here's how to choose.
When is carrying help enough?
- A sofa, bed, wardrobe or dining table to carry up or down
- Some furniture and boxes from the street up to the apartment
- Heavy items like a safe, piano or chandelier
- A short transport with a few items
- A second-hand piece of furniture you've bought or sold
When do you need a moving company?
If the whole household is moving, you need moving help: we carry, drive and can also help with packing, storage, move-out cleaning and furniture assembly. See what a moving company costs in Stockholm.
Mini move — in between
If you have fewer furniture and belongings than a fully furnished home, you can specify exactly what's moving. That makes it a mini move, which is quicker and therefore cheaper than a regular move.
What does it cost?
Both carrying help and moving help are priced by how long the job takes, and you get a free quote before you decide. The RUT deduction applies to carrying help in connection with your home and to transport between your homes — and also when you've bought or are selling a second-hand piece of furniture.
