Looking for office moving?

Two ways to pay for your move

A fixed price means you know the total cost before the move — the price is based on what's being moved and the conditions at both addresses. An hourly rate means you pay for the time the move actually takes.

With Pandy we offer both, depending on what suits you and the move — book your move and we'll be in touch. Whichever it is, the work qualifies for the RUT deduction: you pay half the labour cost.

Choose a fixed price if …

  • you want to know exactly what the move costs before it starts
  • you're moving a whole home with lots of furniture
  • there are uncertainties — stairs, a long carry or a narrow street
  • you don't want to watch the clock on moving day

Choose an hourly rate if …

  • the move is small — a mini move with few pieces of furniture and boxes
  • everything is packed, labelled and ready when the movers arrive
  • there's a lift and the van is close at both addresses
  • you can help out yourself and want to pay for exactly the time it takes

What makes a move take longer

  • Things that aren't packed when the movers arrive
  • Stairs without a lift, or furniture that doesn't fit in the lift
  • A long carry between the door and the van
  • Furniture that has to be taken apart and reassembled
  • A long drive between the addresses

One tip whatever you choose

Finish packing, label the boxes and have keys, door codes and parking sorted. The better prepared, the faster it goes — and the cheaper it is on an hourly rate. If you let us pack, we also take responsibility for what we pack, under BOHAG 2010.

💡 Common questions about fixed price and hourly rate

Does Pandy offer a fixed price for moves?

Yes. We offer both fixed and hourly pricing, depending on what suits you and the move. The quote is free and you don't commit to anything.

Which is cheaper, a fixed price or an hourly rate?

It depends on the move. If it's small, well packed and simple, an hourly rate is often cheapest. If there are uncertainties, a fixed price gives peace of mind — you know the cost in advance.

Can you book a mini move?

Absolutely. If you have fewer pieces of furniture and things, list what needs moving, and the move goes faster and costs less than the price examples.

Does the RUT deduction apply to both?

Yes. The RUT deduction applies to the labour cost whichever pricing model you choose.

Ok, I am convinced.
