Kungsholmen, area by area

• Fredhäll

Built in the 1930s, Fredhäll was the first place in Stockholm where apartment buildings were laid out in an open arrangement. The point blocks at the far western end were designed in 1935, and the Tomten block has functionalist terraced houses. When you book, tell us the type of building, your floor and whether there's a lift.

• Kristineberg

The part around Thorildsplan was built in the 1920s and the part west of the palace in the 1930s, in functionalist style. If you live here, tell us which floor you're on and whether there's a lift when you book, and we'll turn up with the right crew and the right vehicle.

• Stadshagen and Hornsberg

Since 2002 this former industrial area has been turning into dense city blocks with homes and offices, and Hornsberg has new builds along a waterfront promenade. Just moved into Hornsberg or Stadshagen? Describe what needs mounting or connecting in the new home when you book a handyman.

• Marieberg

Much of the area went up in the early 1960s under a 1958 city plan, but on Wennerbergsgatan stands Stockholm's first narrow-block building, from 1943–44. Give us the floor and lift details when you book a move or carrying help.
