Bromma, area by area

• Äppelviken

A garden suburb planned in 1910, where the first plots were let in 1913 — the birth of suburban Bromma. If you need cleaning or a move from one of Äppelviken's garden-suburb houses, give us the floor area and number of storeys when you book.

• Ålsten

Mostly detached houses, and along Ålstensgatan stand 94 terraced houses designed by the architect Paul Hedqvist in the 1930s — a classic example of Swedish functionalism. Tell us whether it's a detached house or one of the terraced houses when you book.

• Abrahamsberg

Built up in 1937–45 with three-storey narrow blocks in yellow brick — “the yellow town” — and singled out, together with Åkeslund, as Stockholm's best-preserved area of narrow blocks (Stockholm City Museum). In these yellow-brick blocks, the floor and whether there's a lift are what we need to know when you book.

• Traneberg

One of the first suburbs of three-storey narrow blocks, put up in 1934–38, and Tranebergsbron opened in 1934. Parking here falls under zone 4 rather than the zone 5 that applies in the rest of Bromma, so tell us about the entrance and the carrying route when you book.
